It’s my birthday in a few hours~

Hey.

I know this may be long and it will be appropriately tagged in the end but I just have a few things I need to say and one other long thing.

The YYH Abridged Project will be shut down. 

Ally and I were so happy to discuss the possibility of bringing it to light and using our free time to make some comedic script and hopefully make others laugh as much as we do just talking about it with each other. This turned out to be something we couldn’t do and handle due to personal issues in our lives along with not having enough free time. She has long 12 hour work shifts and I’m dealing with college issues and a possible surgery in the near future that would put me out of the way for about half a year at most. 

The sheer amount of kind thoughts, seeing you all excited about the potential. The gargantuan amount of support whether by mouth, editing credentials or sent in VA potential was incredible. We were very overwhelmed and it brought us more happiness. We both thank you very much for what you all have done for us as directors and I can pass names along to others who may require voices or editors.

We have also taken in consideration that if we DID become a large project with items to our name that the original English voice actors and producers etc. would become very upset at us for taking what they struggled to bring to America and punt it out the window to make a comedic faction over. Ally and I agreed that we couldn’t deface the YYH series in such as way to the people who brought it to us to enjoy before. An incident like this can be seen with TFS’s DBZ Abridged, in which the VA’s have taken offense to their hard work being used as a base for something else. While creative licence does come to play and eventually everything in this world will be parodied in one way or another… Ally and I could’t stand the thought of several people being disappointed in us that we took their spots and essentially made a foolery of it. 

Now for the second issue in which I have simmered on for a very long time:

Quit being so brutal as a fandom.

I’ve been here a long time. I’ve been in the fandom for a very long time and it makes my heart hurt to see people being so cold and distant to others when I used to love a series or character as much as I once did. The YYH fanbase has varying age groups and that can bring in harshness as well.

Stop hurting people because they may not understand something the same way you do. Stop yelling at people because you don’t like crack RP accounts or trans/gender headcanons. Stop making fun of people or sending death threats or doxxing them because they don’t have the same headcanons as you, or that their art is stupid or whatever. 

Fandom isn’t supposed to be a safe place, but a fandom shouldn’t be a place you’re scared to branch out in.

A lot of my favorite people have left this fandom because of this nonsense. A lot of good potential has been just kicked out the door because people hated the way their art looked or anything else. I’m still getting so angry just typing this and it’s only 7:50-8:00am on a Wednesday morning. 

Just… stop hurting people ok…?

In all… Everyone:

• Send me all of your art. 
  
• Send me all your ideas
  
• Send me all your questions or feelings
  
• Send me your sketches and headcanons, your trans headcanons, your art you think is silly
• I want to see all of your art or writing or anything you have at all, I don’t even care if its stick figures I bet they’re hella cute!!

Most of all, please come talk to me if you feel threatened at all. 

Stop being such hateful people and let someone breathe life into something they love. I want to see all that you love.

Any messages of disgust or hatred will be deleted or posted without answer and please don’t ever send Ally something hurtful. 

There’s a difference between teaching someone and hurting someone and I hope you learn it now before someone else gets hurt.

I’m such a dingus! I haven’t been on this blog in a while and I just answered some messages so if I didn’t see yours please send it back!!

Also for the parody: if you are wanting to send in voices they DO NOT have to sound like the English cast. Ally and I spoke about it a few days ago and we decided that it isn’t about who can do the best impression but rather which person can give the fullest voice and emotion to the parodied characters.

I hope that may help some of you out or to inspire you to try out then! It’s currently past 11pm at my time and today was a hard day for me, a lot of moving things around but tomorrow I will write down any ideas you guys suggest!
